Related from a dog's perspective, this story by Elenor Atkinson, the author of Greyfriars Bobby, of a family sacrificing for war. The book is in fair to good condition; the blue and red boards are faded with some spotting on the front cover but the volume is tight and square. There is a lovely frontis illustration of Poilu and his mistress by Sophie Schneider.
