Red cloth with spine & cover titles in gilt; 8vo; 272pp; illustrated with 22 full-page b/w plates after etchings, drawings, paintings & engravings, each with captioned tissue guard; color photographic dust jacket. Essentially, a textual reprinting of the second edition. One of the more important books on the pointing dog. This copy in near fine condition in a VG, lightly rubbed jacket. Uncommon in this edition.
