1947. First Printed. 254 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over blue cloth. Book has a slight smoky odour. Moderate foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. Bottom corners bumped and light surface crease to spine but otherwise boards clean and bright. Pronounced spine lean. Page edges a little browned with quite a bit of spotting. Spotting to endpapers and a stain to one page towards the centre of the book but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Price-clipped jacket has chipping at the top and bottom of the spine and to the corners with some edge creasing and a little discolouration to the rear panel. First printing.
