1932. Sixth edition, thoroughly revised and greatly enlarged. lxxvii, 526pp. plus 2 pages of advertisements and advertisements on the endpapers. The first edition of this Police Constable's Guide was first published in 1912. Following General Instructions for the constable, there is a list of criminal offences that is set out in a simple and concise form and arranged alphabetically. The book is bound in the original grey cloth covered boards with black titling on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling to the boards. There is s light bump to the bottom front corner and a little wear to the cloth at the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with light foxing to the endpapers and last few pages. There is no inscription.
