Polymer Clay Exploring New Techniques and New Materials

Cutting edge materials and techniques are expanding the boundaries of how clay is used in art and craft work. Polymer Clay showcases twenty methods that are truly expanding the medium—with a gallery of specific project ideas that illustrate each technique in action plus a special section on Precious Metal Clay (PMC). Artists will learn the secrets behind hot new approaches from applying stamped imprints to doing image transfers; from creating imitation stone and gems to adding textures with fabric and graining. Step-by-step instructions walk readers through the creation of a wide range of exciting projects that combine clay with new materials such as genesis paints to create jewelry, candle sticks, vases, decorative tiles, napkin rings, and much more.
