This copy was sent to Ellen Nelson Colleran, from the publisher at the direct request of the author. Colleran was teaching English [literature] in a Montana high school in 1931, and contacted the author re her book. LAID IN are three original letters from the author to Colleran, plus copies of others from the school superintendent. Correspondence covers from September 12, 1931 to December 10, 1931. Also included are two self addressed stamped envelopes with uncanceled Washington two cent stamps, addressed to Gaylord. There are two clippings from the original jacket, one which states "The Volume, $2.50.". Seller Inventory # 1531001
