A native of Sacramento, California, Rodney Weckworth likes to give people something to think about. For 40 years, he’s had a "thought for the day". Now, the collection consists of over 500,000.

As a partner in one of the nation’s largest electrical firms, Rex Moore Electrical Contractors and Engineers, he shared his daily proverb first with the staff of the company and then with the firm’s clients. Mr. Weckworth, considered by many to be a marketing and public relations genius, helped to build his company of eight employees to a successful 900 employee workforce. Part of his success is largely due to the weekly mailings of Rod’s Ponders to his client base and an influential list of national leaders in business, education, government, and sports. Each weekly mailing included the answer to the previous week’s Ponder. As a result, Rod has built up a large following of elite, nationally-known personalities such as; Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell, Dan Reeves, Norman Schwartzkopf, Senator Pete Wilson, and many more.

Mr. Weckworth’s writings were syndicated nationally in newspapers for many years and he wrote a daily column for the Sacramento Union newspaper between 1991 and 1995 called Rod’s Ponders.
