Pops OpenText: An Open Resource Public Speaking Text

Pops OpenText is an open educational resource text for the public speaking classroom. Focusing on the “why,” the contributors guide students through the background of public speaking to the importance and practice of effectively communicating in a modern society. Each chapter provides unique insights into why public speaking has a far-reaching impact on our lives. Students learn how to prepare, present, and review their speeches with the help of technology and collaboration. Students and teachers love the unique artistic design that inspires students to learn on their terms. Pops OpenText was originally authored by a 30-year veteran of the public speaking classroom but is open for contributions and revisions by the community.
