Portrait of Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba. Born c. 1583 in Angola. Died 17 December 1663 in Baixa de Cassange, Angola. Lithography by Johann Friedrich August Kneisel (1782-1855), after Friedrich Kratzschmer (1806-1886), c. 1850. Reasonable condition. Paper slightly browned and a bit soiled. With some minor faint staining. Mounted onto an old album leaf. Note: dimensions reflect the entire leaf (excluding the mount). Dimensions: 124 x 107 mm. Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba was Queen, Queen of of Ndongo and Matamba, and Ambassador to the Portuguese Empire. c. 1850. Seller Inventory # 5029
