Mounted photographic print depicting a portrait of two Native American, one a Chief likely wearing a peace medal. Silver gel photo print measures 7 �" x 9 �"; mount measures 12" x 14". Photographer's label on verso reading: "Mrs. R. M. Prince. Photographic Portraits. 999 Elm Street, Manchester, N. H." Mount has heavy wear and loss of 12" x �" along right edge, heavy soiling, heavy chipping to corners, and pin holes near top and bottom edges; photo has moderate silvering, soiling and deterioration, and one pin hole near bottom edge. No definitive information could be found on the subjects of the portrait and little could be found on the photographer. The only records of Mrs. Regna M. Prince are from a 1911 City Directory of Manchester, New Hampshire, and on "Langdon's List of 19th & Early 20th Century Photographers." Even in this condition the portrait is quite impressive and is worthy of more research.
