Possibilities in Faith (Paperback)

Paperback. The characters in the Bible may be distant in time, but they are close by in meaning. God preserved in Scripture the stories of certain individuals for our instruction. Dr. David Downey takes us through the contemporary impact of fifteen select characters of the Bible, Old and New Testament. We see for example in Abraham how to wait, and with Ruth to take risks. Jeremiah struggled with his tough assignment, John the Baptist accepted his lessening role, and Peter failed often but showed a contagious willingness. Although each study is fascinating and the setting of each person helps us to be intimate with them, we learn that the Lord is speaking to each of us through these individuals. He wants to show us Himself, how He relates to His children, and what He is asking from each of us. This item is printed on demand.
