How Can You Possibly Be a Mormon and a Democrat?: Finally a Rational Answer to This All Too Often Rhetorical Question

This version of "How Can You Possibly be a Mormon and a Democrat?" has been available on Amazon since November of 2010. It has not and will not be sold in bookstores. And once the official first edition appears on bookstore shelves in June 2011, this edition will be retired for ever.There are significant differences between the First Edition and this Preview Edition 6.12. The First Edition will be much more streamlined, mostly because it will only contain about half of the content presented in this edition. More specifically, the First Edition will only include Chapters 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 and parts of Chapter 5. However, fear not. All of that other material has not been deleted but will be used in future books, with other titles.For example, all material concerning Iraq, Bush and Islam will be the basis for an upcoming book due to arrive on bookstore shelves by the end the summer of 2011, perhaps under a better title than it’s current working title "How Can You Possibly be an LDS Proponent of Bush’s Iraq War?"This decision to essentially split the book in two has resulted in two books that are much more reader friendly and focused. However, until the First Edition of "How Can You Possibly be a Mormon and a Democrat?" hits the bookstores, this Preview Edition 6.12 will remain available on Amazon.

Clinton "Joe" Andersen, Jr. spent two years in Russia as a missionary for the LDS Church. At age 19, Joe witnessed, firsthand, the devastation that Soviet communism had inflicted upon things like... customer service. That concept had been raped, pillaged and driven to extinction. There's nothing so strange as getting yelled at for not finding the sour cream on your own. It was no less strange for Joe to find himself, after two years, staring in complete awe and amazement at the cereal aisle of the grocery store. It was a formative experience, to say the least. In the meantime, having earned a bachelors in mechanical engineering from ASU, Joe has found work in various and surprising engineering fields: from water treatment plants to designing multiple subdivisions, from aerospace solenoid valves and turbine engine parts to image guidance as a neurosurgical engineer.
