Original poster, with text and image offset printed in red, black, and grey on white poster stock, measuring 48.25cm x 63.5cm (19" x 25"). Some handling and wear, a few discreet staple holes, tape remnants and adhesive-pull to extremities, with a shallow loss to upper edge at center, and and some brief writing in pen along the lower margin; Very Good. Humorous original 1996 campaign poster for Margo St. James's bid for a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. "Although her 1980 campaign for the Republican presidential nomination had been an activist stunt, her 1996 run for a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors was for real, and she came in seventh out of 28 candidates in the race for six at-large seats. When one seat was later vacated, then-Mayor Willie Brown refused to appoint her, instead choosing now-governor Gavin Newsome" (The Bay Area Reporter, January 16, 2021). 88390.
