About this Item

An outstanding copy in very good jacket. A 1946 printing issued to tout the Lana Turner, James Garfield film of that year. Postman, (1934) was Cain's first book and established him as one of the masters of the "Hard-boiled" genre along with Chandler, Hammett, etc. This book is in terrific shape, clean as a whistle throughout with no previous owner markings, pages white and crisp, binding tight and strong. Jacket is bright, not price-clipped, with one small chip at top of spine which does not affect any letters. Great book.
