Although RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) has been around for more than half a century, in the last couple of years, it seemed to have appeared from nowhere into the spotlight as one of the hottest technologies around especially in the field of retail logistics and supply chain management. About the Author

Mirabell Semiluh Fru studied International Business and Management at the University of Magdeburg and the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences, in Germany. She holds an MBA in International Marketing. Currently, she works as Claims Administrator and Business Processor at John Deere's logistics department in Mannheim.
