Potential Genius

Potential Genius is a foundational early-mathematics curriculum designed to help preschoolers reach their highest intellectual potential. Rooted in the Dogon learning philosophy of Giri So, Benne So, Bolo So, and Sodayi, the book guides teachers and parents through a developmental progression that makes mathematics concrete, joyful, and culturally grounded.

Children begin with recognition of same and different, sorting, sets, and patterns, then move through counting, shapes, ordinal numbers, graphing, spatial sense, money, measurement, time, fractions, and early computation. Every concept is reinforced through hands-on activities, games, manipulatives, and real-life applications.

The curriculum integrates African history and imagery-such as Per Ahs, pyramids, tekhen, and Maat-to build cultural pride while strengthening number sense. Activities emphasize creativity, exploration, and mastery through repetition, movement, and play.

Designed for teachers, parents, and caregivers, Potential Genius prepares children for kindergarten and for the African Mathematical Genius series that follows. It transforms everyday moments into learning opportunities and nurtures the confidence, curiosity, and brilliance within every child.

"This book was written for teachers, parents and children of genius... Do not let any opportunity pass without finding a way to make it an educational learning experience."
