About the Author
Their eldest daughter recently remarried and moved to New Zealand with her four children. Jason, 31, the youngest of their five children, settled in Costa Rica and created "Ecotreks Adventure Company". He specializes in sailing charters aboard his 36-foot Columbia for individuals and groups. He also sponsors mountain biking races, and has spearheaded beach clean-ups and other ecological projects. After living at Flamingo Beach for six years, he has relocated to the OSA Peninsula where he continues to do sailing charters, research whales and dolphins and has started a turtle hatchery to protect them from poaching and to help in the survival of this endangered species.
We officially opened our Bed and Breakfast, "Posada Mimosa," in December 1996 and since then have received a steady flow of guests. We have been described as one of the best B&B's in the Central Valley
