Very good to inside with no inscriptions. The dust jacket has a very neatly repaired half inch closed tear to the back left edge. Contains over 450 photographs including many colour plates of well known potters' works. The clear step by step photographs show every stage of making pottery, from preparing the clay and throwing it on the wheel to glazing the completed piece. "More advanced students of pottery will be fascinated by the photographs which provide a unique record of the techniques used by the dying breed of potters who 'mass produce' pottery on the wheel with a skill and speed that leaves most modern artist potters gasping".
