About the Author

Larry Curtis Potts, musician and former corrections officer, is a product of the New York and New Jersey music scenes. His exposure to music legends came early. His parents frequently danced at New York's Savoy Club and brought home stories of seeing music legends like Billie Holiday. For Larry and his brother, the stories of the lure of the music scene were magical. Both have been ardent students of music - Larry playing saxophone and his brother bass guitar. Both have pursued dreams of musical success throughout the years. They've met and had the opportunity to play with some Rock and Roll greats -among them Chubby Checker, Percy Sledge and Ben E. King. Along the way, Larry detoured into the world of criminal justice and worked the cellblocks as a corrections officer at Lehigh County Prison in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Since retiring from the prison, Larry continues to pursue his music and his second passion, horses. He lives on the outskirts of Allentown. This is Larry's first effort as an author.
