Short closed tear to the front top binding edge, trifling closed tear to the back bottom binding edge, short perforation to the front fold, else clean and essentially fine, with a little toning to the spine (all titling remaining clear and legible). (Now protected beneath a removable archival cover.) Black cloth with bright gilt titling to the spine. The boards remain clean, sharp and fine.
