Power Consumption Analysis of Wi-Fi Access Point: Practical Strategies for Green Networking Concept Deployment

The study of energy consumption of network devices is considered a daring topic for researchers because these devices have an indirect impact on the environment by increasing greenhouse gas emissions. In this book, we analyzed the energy consumption of the IEEE 802.11a / b / g for the wireless access point (AP) and propose simple practical steps to deploy using solar energy harvesting base on the different weather conditions.
