Synopsis
By the Power of God shows how the earliest A.A. groups actually operated, then offers a working guide for forming similar groups today — built on the same spiritual foundation, drawn straight from the historical record. It is a complete, stand-alone work — available individually right here — and it is also one of the 31 volumes of The Dick B. A.A. History Reference Set, available together at a very substantial savings: the Christian recovery world's most thorough scholarly record of the roles God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible played in early A.A.'s astonishing successes. Compiled by Dick B., J.D., CDAAC, over 25 years of forensic primary-source research. The complete 31-volume set is available for $297 with free U.S. shipping exclusively at DickBonRecovery.com — collected individually, the 31 volumes would cost well over twice as much.
About the Author
Dick B. is an active, recovered member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a Bible student, and a retired attorney who has sponsored more than 100 men in their recovery. He has spent over eighteen years researching, traveling, interviewing, and digging out the all-but-forgotten details about early A.A.'s spiritual principles and practices and successes. He has now completed thirty-two titles on the subject. And his works provide the only comprehensive picture of exactly what early A.A. borrowed from the Bible, the Oxford Group, the medical world, and the experience of drunks in the 1930's -- an A.A. which depended upon and utilized the power of God Almighty with such startling rates of success
