The Power Of Gold

A GIRL SEARCHING FOR A HOME IN ONE WORLD...

FINDS A DESTINY IN ANOTHER.

Josephine has spent the last fifteen years in foster care, always hoping for a better life. Now, with a new foster home, she feels safe, almost 'normal'-until she and her foster brother, Jack, stumble across a mysterious portal in their backyard. Jo feels a powerful connection to their new discovery-a pull to the light that she cannot explain. And when a dangerous situation forces Jack to enter the portal, Jo has no choice but to follow.

A new and dangerous world awaits them-a group of kidnapping elves, a surprising attack, and unexpected violence. And that was within the first few hours of their crossing. Jo and Jack are separated again, leaving Jo injured and alone with a mysterious but handsome elf named Elric. While Jo recovers from her wound, Elric reveals his past and the turbulent times surging within his world-a vengeful king and his dark mage threaten all of the kingdoms. While traveling to Elric's homeland, he reveals a shocking discovery-one that raises questions about everything Jo knows about her own past. In a shocking turn of events, painful memories resurface and unique powers emerge, and Jo faces difficult choices that will affect everyone she loves and will propel her towards an unknown but great destiny.
