I Am Power! Over Me, Not Them

I Am Power Over Me, Not Them is an empowering story about confidence, courage, and learning to take ownership of one's thoughts and actions. The book follows Kendi, a young athlete who begins to doubt herself after facing pressure and unkind words during an important basketball game. When she misses a key shot, she carries the disappointment with her and feels as though she has given her power away.

A visit to the beach becomes a moment of clarity. As Kendi feels the strength of the waves and discovers a conch seashell in the sand, she reconnects with her inner strength. She realizes that she alone has power over her thoughts, feelings, and choices, and that no one else gets to define her worth.

Through this experience, Kendi learns to activate her IMPowerment App, a non-digital internal framework built on Attitude, Perspective, and Perseverance. With these tools, she returns to the softball field with renewed confidence and a stronger sense of self.

This book is ideal for families, classrooms, counselors, and anyone who wants to help children build confidence and self-belief. It reminds readers of all ages that true power comes from within and that they are capable, strong, and enough.
