Synopsis
Power Play, is a riveting, true-to-life Political Thriller, which will hold you breathless. Jared and Fatemah Russell have moved to Beirut, Lebanon to open up a safe house for converted Muslims called the Harbor House. They hire fifteen-year-old Anita Bashera as their housekeeper. Little did they know that she is the daughter of the soon-to-be-elected Prime Minister, Abdullah Bashera. Complicating matters, they invite a young man named Habib to help them get settled. Emotions run high as the two young people find themselves working in close quarters, but she has a problem. She is to be married to her father’s archenemy on her sixteenth birthday. The two young people find themselves caught in the middle of political intrigue, personal crisis, and the chaos of war. Can their budding love endure or will they let their differences tear them apart? Once again, war threatens the fragile peace in the Middle East. The sights are set on Israel as the Power Play for dominance is acted out. Only one person knows who is behind it, but can she survive long enough to stop him? Anita overhears her father’s plans to draw Israel into war. She confides in her mistress Fatemah Russell, but before they can act, Anita is kidnapped. Were it not for the courage of Habib and Jared, all would be lost. About the Author
Novelist Bryan M. Powell is also a speaker, and composer/arranger with over eighty choral works to his credit. He now enjoys pursuing a career as a full-time writer. Some of his fifteen Faith-based novels have found their way into publication by Tate Publishing, Kindle Direct Publishing and Vabella Publishing. He is a member of the nationally known ACFW, American Christian Fiction Writers, The Christian Author’s Guild, where he holds the position as President, The Paulding County Writers Guild, and the local chapter of ACFW, the New Life Writers Group. He is also published in the Paulding County Writer’s Guild Publication and in Relief Notes, the Christian Authors Guild’s newest book, released in 2014, and in the Georgia Backroads magazine. As a guest speaker, he is also well qualified to address a variety of topics, such as Self-Marketing Techniques and How to Build a Killer Book Trailer.
