Synopsis
Dave Burrows grew up in an upper middle class home in the Bahamas but made a wrong turn at 12 years of age and spiraled from model student to Drug Dealer. His teenage years were spent on the streets of Nassau eventually leading to arrests for drug possession, burglary and handgun possession. Even in College he faced three years in prison but made a dramatic turn while in College and went on to become a Pastor, author, businessman and youth and family specialist. This is a story of hope and redemption for young men who have made wrong choices.
About the Author
Affectionately known as "Davy B" or "The Ruff neck Pastor" Dr. Dave Burrows was Born and raised in The Bahamas as a troubled teenager involved in the street world of drugs, sexual promiscuity, violence and crime. While in College, Dave through the influence of his brother-in-law Pastor Robyn Gool accepted Christ and went on to graduate from Oral Roberts University. Dave is also president and founder of the Dave Burrows Youth and Family Ministries a ministry designed to reach both Youth and Families. One of the foremost authorities in the world on Youth Ministry, Dr. Dave Burrows is a Youth Ministry specialist, President of Youth Alive Ministries and founder and president of The Christian Youth Leaders Network and the Global Youth Ministry Leadership Network. With over 25 years of experience in Youth Ministry Dave has pioneered many successful programs for youth affecting gangs, youth from all backgrounds, youth leaders around the world and Churches, Pastors and entire organizations and denominations. He has also served as an advisor on Youth matters in his home country, advising the Bahamas Government as Chairman of the National Youth Advisory Council on three occasions An accomplished author Dr. Burrows has published nine books, served as executive producer of four movies and three music soundtracks. His works include Making the Most of Youth Teenage Years, Sex and Dating and the Power of Positive Choices. He has appeared on many local and international television programs and events hosted by the TBN, TD Jakes Potters Touch, Oral Roberts University, Dr. Fred Price and many others. His clients have included many corporations, civic and social organizations and churches. He is a longtime associate of Dr. Myles Munroe having served for many years as Vice President of both Bahamas Faith Ministries and Myles Munroe International. Dr. Burrows has mentored and coached many individuals to personal and business success and continues to serve as both a motivational speaker and life coach.
