Synopsis
Do you want God to answer your prayers as He did for the prophets and patriarchs? Exodus 9:23 NIV says, “When Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, the Lord sent thunder and hail, and lightning flashed down to the ground.” In these troubled times, God’s people need to learn to pray with boldness and faith, never wavering, so the electrifying power of God can fall on this nation in answer to prevailing prayer. The word prevailing has five definitions, and all five apply to the kind of prayer Dr. Harris presents in this book: it has superior power or influence, it is effective and effectual, it is persuasive, it is predominant, and it is persistent. Most importantly, it engages the power and energy of our mighty God. As one of our nation's leading Bible expositor, Dr. Harris has a keen Spirit-led insight into scriptural truths. He digs deep into God’s Word to reveal a well worn path to prevailing prayer—a path Dr. Harris knows well, for he is not only a Bible student, but also a prayer warrior who lives by the encouraging admonition of Hebrews 4:16 NKJV, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Dr. Harris wants his readers to learn to pray with confident faith through the power of prevailing prayer.
