Ex-library of the Mechanic s Library Association of Lancaster, PA. Quite worn with desiccated boards, red rot and ample scuffing to edges and corners. Joints weakened and nearly split. Spine perished with loss at head. Numerous instances of putting to surface of boards. Corners rounded. Interior typically toned with heavy soiling and age-stain. Ex-library stamp on title. Rear fly leaf torn at bottom corner. Free of known markings. Binding intact. Please see photos. Lindley Murray (d. 1826), was an American Quaker lawyer, writer and grammarian, best known for his English language grammar-books used in schools in England and the United States.
