Moderate toning, scattered foxing, and light damp-stains to the contents and illustrated plates. Front blank end sheet pulling loose from binding. 1836 dated ink name of previous owner on right front flyleaf. Explanation section of plates in front of the book describe 16 plates. The last plate is numbered XVII and is not listed in the explanation section. Plate XVI in the explanation section under "Quadrupeds" is titled "Chlamyphorou truncatus" and is supposed to be located opposite page 298 but it is not present. Plate XV is the frontispiece. Extra plates under the numbers I, III, XI, result in a combined total of 20 engraved plates. Previous owner name on the right front flyleaf. Fair.
