Practical Christianity - What is Salvation?: Knowing is Knowing

What if salvation is not what we’ve assumed it is?
What if the way we talk about being “saved” has been shaped more by systems, slogans, and centuries of debate than by Scripture’s own storyline?
What if the classic theological “isms”—Calvinism, Arminianism, Molinism, Provisionism—are all trying to answer questions the Bible never actually asks?
This book takes you back to the beginning.

• Not to a system.
• Not to a camp.
• Not to a label.

But to God Himself, and to the breathtaking story of how He rescues the helpless, the fearful, the inconsistent, the doubting, and the dying.

Here you will discover a salvation that:

- begins with God’s eternal purpose
- confronts the reality of our spiritual deadness
- unfolds through the Father’s drawing and the Spirit’s quickening
- rests entirely on the finished work of Christ
- gives repentance and faith as gifts, not achievements
- justifies by blood, not performance
- adopts the unworthy into a permanent family
- sanctifies by divine power, not human effort
- keeps the believer with an unbreakable grip
- ends in certain, guaranteed glorification

• This is not Calvinism.
• This is not Arminianism.
• This is not any “ism.”

This is the gospel as Scripture actually tells it—a gospel too big, too beautiful, and too God‑centered to fit neatly inside any man‑made system.

Along the way, you’ll walk with Don—a man whose honest fears and final questions reveal what every trembling heart longs to know: Is Christ really enough for someone like me?

The answer, woven through every chapter, is simple and stunning: Yes.

Because salvation is not held together by your strength,

But by God’s.

• If you’ve ever felt confused by theological debates…
• If you’ve ever wondered whether you truly understand salvation…
• If you’ve ever feared you haven’t “done enough”…
• If you’ve ever sensed that the gospel must be bigger than the categories we’ve inherited…

This book is for you.
Come rediscover a salvation that holds—
From beginning to end,
From eternity past to eternity future,
From the first breath of faith to the final breath of life.
A salvation that is not fragile.
Not partial.
Not cooperative.
Not system‑dependent.
A salvation that is of the LORD.
