About the Author:

I've been in the personal training business for over 20 years. I've worked with many types of people with many different goals. While some of my clients have been active or aspiring athletes, bodybuilders, or fitness competitors, most have been busy working people looking to get in shape and not have the process take over their lives. I've learned through reading many studies and books, attending many seminars and lectures, and most importantly, through experience, how to streamline exercise programs to fit most people's lives, but still have those programs be highly effective. That's the message that I would most like to get across, because I see many people give up on an exercise program, or never even try to start one, because the are under the misconception that to get results, they have to undergo extreme deprivations and complete massively time-consuming exercise protocols. It's just not true. My approach is not the overnight transformation. This isn't a quick fix. My approach is to make gradual changes that add up over time. While the results are steady and significant, you should never feel overwhelmed by your attempts to get fit. (I learned that lesson the hard way. You never forget your first time being cursed out by a client. "All in good fun," she claimed.) I have seen these methods work for hundreds of clients throughout my career with little, if any, of the backsliding that you see with many other approaches.
