The Practical Guide To Buddhist Training - (Trilogy) - 3. Samādhi

The Practical Guide To Buddhist Training - (Trilogy) - Using 'The READINESS Method'.

Samadhi Stage (Stage Four)

A clear, easy-to-follow, structured path to deep stillness and unshakable clarity.

This trilogy uses the acronym READINESS to structure and describe Buddhist training practices. The same framework is also used in a later secular work, The READINESS Method, published by Readiness Press.

This third book in the READINESS series completes your journey with the Samadhi Stage-bringing together renunciation, presence, and wisdom into a unified path of Right Concentration. With grounded Buddhist psychology and practical tools, you'll learn to stabilise your mind, balance energy and effort, and allow insight to arise from deep calm.

The full method unfolds over four stages:

- Book 1 - Fundamental Wisdom - Stage 1: See the roots of suffering and the path to escape

- Book 2 - Ethics - Stage 2: Renounce striving and return to clarity

- Book 2 - Shamatha - Stage 3: Build calm, awareness, and presence

- Book 3 - Samādhi - Stage 4: A structured approach to Right Concentration (samādhi) using READINESS:

A step-by-step way to meet pain with clarity-by Recognising it, Enduring it, Accepting it, seeing its Danger, Investigating it, knowing it as Not-Self, seeing it as Empty and just a Suggestion, Subject to change, and a path to Suffering if followed (READINESS).

This is not a theory course. It's a lived path of simplicity, insight, and real freedom.

Bring your whole path together. Embody READINESS-not for perfection, but for peace.
