The first few pages of the introduction are lightly creased on the bottom cornerrs. ***CONTENTS: This is a facsimile edition of the first edition,published by T Egerton in 1806. The purpose of the Light Infantry was to harry the enemy and keep them from observing the main troop movemnets. The author served under General Howe and the author was in part, instrumentla in developing the tactics tobe used by this important branch of the Army.
