With striking accompanying color photographs, the text covers such topics as tank setup, fish healthcare, and the physical and temperamental characteristics of many popular varieties. While less expensive than Joseph Levine's excellent The Complete Fishkeeper ( LJ 10/15/91), this title lacks that book's breadth of coverage and useful suggestions for compatible tank designs and occupants.
