Okra crop under ecological conditions of India is severely infested by sucking pests like leafhopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula (Ishida), whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius), two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch and shoot and fruit borers, Earias vittella (Fabricius) and Earias insulana.
