8vo 8" - 9" tall; 64 pages; Volume VI, Number 4 (April, 1882) . Paperback octavo side dewn with three hole stab. Paged I-viii, [2], 113- 144, ix- xxxii. Original covers perished, retaining the full text block including front and rear advertising matter, with dampstaining to edges of the first and last few leaves but otherwise internally generally clean. An important early American photographic trade journal notable for extensive illustrated advertising sections, technical articles on apparatus, chemistry, lighting, studio practice, and commentary on professional association activities with columns with notices on dry plates, albumen paper, gallery sales, new lanterns for darkroom use etc. 32 pages of detailed supplier ads for J. C. Somerville (St. Louis) , Gustavus Bode (Milwaukee) and many others. Uncommon. Fair to Good only.
