Practical Proverbs for the Younger Student is recommended for ages 9-15. It contains 36 lessons from Proverbs with fun activities such as word finds, crossword puzzles, unscramble the words, an obstacle course, an interview, a play and others. Proverbs is a treasure trove of wisdom. King David wrote these timeless words to his son, Solomon, who became the wisest man that ever lived. This upper elementary to middle school book is based in Proverbs, although, the whole counsel of God's word is used. Jesus is Wisdom. Wisdom is the eternal and unchanging character of God. Your student will learn why knowledge is important, but also how to discern between knowledge and wisdom. The student will receive instruction about who they are in Christ, and how big Their God really is. They will learn different types of discernment and how to use discretion in real life scenarios.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. But what is the biblical meaning of the fear of the Lord? Find out from the study of Proverbs. How are sin, repentance, grace, and mercy related in Scriptures? What do these words have to do with daily living? Your kids will go on a treasure hunt as they learn about law and grace and freedom in Christ Jesus. Crowns will be given to each Christian in heaven. What are these crown, and how do you earn them? It all starts with prayer, communication with God. As the student understands God better, he/she will be able to base their self-esteem upon the truth of God's word. Prov. 1 and Psalms 1 will teach them how to abide and grow the fruit of the Spirit in their lives.

Proverbs is a great resource for understanding the fool and his foolishness as well as wisdom. There will be a judgment. It's important that we know what we will be judged on. Then we can learn to be humble, rather than having our pride lead us astray. We can learn biblical discipline, to trust instead of fear, to be diligent and to flee temptations. The student will learn how to apply wisdom in relationships with God, parents, friends, and siblings. They will learn to discern the programs and posts of social media, and how to guard their hearts with technology.

When your kids suffer wrongs from this world, they will learn how these destructive influences come from
Satan'[s authority on earth, and how God uses them for their good, and even how to be godly and virtuous men and women of God in the midst. Byu7 abiding in Christ, they will learn to be grateful, obedient, and content with their money, their attitudes, and their situations. The student will learn how to wisely handle their anger, joy, jealousy, and love biblically. They will learn to find peace while learning to work heartily as unto the Lord with intentionality, endurance, sacrifice, and modesty. They will be blessed by the Holy Spirit as they memorize Bible verses and learn why truth is so important in the life of a Christian rather than lies and harsh words.

The format of Practical Proverbs for the Younger Student allows the parent to discuss their faith and beliefs with their children.
