Both traditional and progressive curricula are inadequate for the task of responding to the economic, political, social, and cultural changes that have occurred as a result of globalization. Sue Grieshaber and Felicity McArdle are both educators and researchers at the School of Early Childhood, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Before moving to the university sector, Sue and Felicity worked as classroom teachers in urban, rural and remote early childhood settings.
