By Walter Hayle Walshe and printed in Philadelphia by Blanchard and Lea. 1860. 468 + [32] pp. 9.25 x 6 . Hardcover full cloth. In good condition, with light scuffing to edges and corners of boards. Slight tear down top of spine, along with fading to lettering. Ex-library from the King County Medical Library. Assorted markings and stampings. Light staring around front hinge. Text block remains bound well. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece pertaining to lung diseases, along with their 19th Century treatments and diagnosis. By Irish cancer physician Walter Hayle Walshe (1812-1882), who was the first to discovered that malignant cancer cells can be located under a microscope.
