A Portfolio of 28 cards (370 x 244 mm) in three parts: Scyliorhinus canicula (10 cards) Dogfish and 1 card showing Directions for the Dissection of the Nervous System; Rana temporaria (9 cards) Frog; Oryctolagus cuniculus (8 cards) Rabbit and 1 card showing Ventral View of the Heart of the Sheep; Title, authors, Introduction by authors dated February, 1937, and Publisher and published date 1937 (1 card). Of the 28 cards 4 cards are in 3 colours, the others in Black. Extensive labelling to illustrations. Small loosely inserted 4 page brochure (210 x 140 mm) which includes an index to the cards and small reproductions of two of the cards. All in a brown cloth slipcase with flap ( 380 x 260 mm). Black printed paper label to front of flap. ** The slipcase has some wear to corners and edges and the odd small tear to cloth edges. Top edges of flap with small splits to ends. The cloth has some fading, more so to the flap. The small brochure has some light horizontal creases were folded, and creasing to one corner. Introduction card has faint toning to edges. Illustration cards are in very good clean bright condition. ** These illustrations are not intended to replace laboratory work, but have been made expressly to help students to perform detailed dissections of their own. The illustrations have been made directly from particular specimens which were dissected for the purpose. Each illustration is therefore individual and not a generalised diagram which could be copied by students to fit their own dissections . (from intro.). Seller Inventory # 002753
