You will learn about laying on of hands with prayer, anointing with oil, exercising the ministry of deliverance, conducting healing services, using Christian counseling and cooperating with medical professionals. The author also explains how the Bible, prayer, forgiveness, giving, service, fellowship and suffering all play their part in God's healing work in our lives. In addition, he is not afraid to tackle sensitively and compassionately the tough issues of when healing fails to take place.
Roy Lawrence shows clearly that Christian healing is not magical or occultish, not limited to special gifts, not dependent on superholiness, not a form of alternative medicine, not faith healing, not weird and not theologically unorthodox. Rather, quite simply, it is the difference Jesus Christ makes in body, mind, spirit and life of those who take him seriously.
