About this title

Synopsis

Practice Makes... Progress is the continuing chronicle of how you can love your kids and a career, as told by a woman willing to bare her soul. Molly Grantham's authenticity will make you think about your own path, choices, and ability to be a human being in our ever unpredictable and beautiful world.

******

This book begins in April of 2020, as a pandemic began unexpectedly shutting things down. Molly, pregnant at the time, found herself teaching fractions to her 3rd grader and listening to her preschooler whine for attention, all the while putting on makeup and high heels to deliver some of the most important headlines she'd ever shared, live, to 100,000 people a night.

You'd think after two kids and two books, a person would know what they were doing. But that's the beauty of Practice Makes... Progress. Through the chaos and coffee, Molly shows how perfection isn't the goal; some days are simply about growth. Whether that's making sure your newborn is breathing okay, listening to kindergarten ukulele practice during a corporate conference call, figuring out cell phones for pre-teens, or, navigating a changing career-it's the Good, the Bad, and the Always Real. As Molly definitely reminds us, you learn as you go, no matter the amount of experience behind you, and how crucial it is to stop and find magic in the mess.
