Description: Black and white photo frontis. Panoramic dust jacket, title page, and endpiece vignette by Hilma Berglund. Boyhood reminiscences of pioneer life in Minnesota. The last two chapters (which appeared separately, in a condensed form, in Reader's Digest), provide an eye-witness account of the last race for land, the rush on the Cherokee Strip in 1893. The jacket flap identifies this as a ''popular-priced reissue'', otherwise there is no distinction between this and the original issue. Rear flap has various critical reviews. Six-Guns, Number 1070. BINDNG/CONDITION: tan cloth with dark blue text; the paper is browning, otherwise a Very Good book, with a Good+ dust jacket; publisher's price on the jacket flap is intact. 8vo (about 8.5 inches tall). 264 pages.
