A posthumous publication, and so intended by Johnson, this second edition includes three prayers that were not in the first edition of the same year. From the library of Charles Asa Clough, Bishop of Springfield, with his bookplate -- and presumably his annotation. The verso of the title page has been filled with a handwritten prayer text; bookplate on front pastedown; front cover partially detached; edge rubbed and leather rather dry.
