The Praying Pastor. This item is unavailable. The Praying Pastor

There’s a difference between a pastor who prays and a praying pastor. Prayer is an important spiritual discipline in the life and ministry of every Christian who is called to shepherd Jesus’s flock. The minutiae of ministry can wear pastors down and make prayer feel more like an obligation, something to do in church services and at hospital bedsides, rather than a desired or necessary activity. In The Praying Pastor, David Busic examines the vital role of an active and intimate prayer life, and urges all pastors to consider whether they need to make the transition from being pastors who pray to becoming praying pastors.

David A. Busic (DMin, DD) serves as general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene. He previously served as president of Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, and as lead pastor of churches in California, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Busic also wrote The City: Urban Churches in the Wesleyan-Holiness Tradition, and two volumes of Perfectly Imperfect, studies of characters from the Old and New Testaments, all available from The Foundry Publishing.
