About the Author

Dr. David C. Cooper
Dr. David Cooper's personal mission in life is to give people hope in Christ. He shares biblical truth in a simple, down-to-earth style that anyone can understand. He serves as Senior Pastor of the 11,000 member Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, Ga.
Dr. Cooper holds the B.A. in Psychology from Lee University, the M. Ed. in Counseling from the University of Georgia, and the Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) from Erskine Theological Seminary. He is an LAPC in the State of Georgia. He also serves on the Chaplain's Prayer Committee for the Georgia State House of Representatives.
Dr. Cooper is the author of the following books: For Better, Not Worse; Apocalypse! A New Look at the Book of Revelation; Written On Our Hearts: Rediscovering the Ten Commandments; Seven Steps to Success; Faith Under Fire;  Repurposing Your Life; Timeless Truths in Changing Times - A Daily Devotional; 10 Steps Toward a Better Life; Get A Grip! Preaching Through the Year Volumes I, II, and III (Pathway Press); and his latest work, Experiencing the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Dr. Cooper speaks for churches, businesses, and conferences in the areas of Christian motivation and leadership.
He is a guitarist, singer and songwriter and performs with the band Open Door (opendoorband.com), for churches, civic organizations, prisons and urban ministries.
His messages are presented on the radio program, Discover Life, and through the Streaming Faith website. His teaching ministry is also featured on the Mount Paran Church website (mountparan.com).
He and his wife Barbie conduct a marriage conference for churches entitled, Making the Most of Your Marriage. They have two children, David Paul and Charlsi Lynn. His personal hobbies and interests include running, strength training, basketball, skiing, and jazz guitar.
