A former lecturer at the Royal Military College of Canada where he taught The Laws of Armed Conflicts, the author has served in Bosnia-Herzegovina as a civil-military relations officer before retiring from the Army after sustaining injuries while deployed overseas. He currently lives and lectures in Budapest, Hungary.
