Jim Fitzgerald has been the head golf professional at the Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland, since 1987. In nearly 20 years as a golf teacher and coach, he has given more than 12,000 lessons. In 1996 he was recognized by the Middle Atlantic PGA as its Teacher of the Year.

An accomplished player as well as instructor, Fitzgerald relied on his excellent short game to win more than 30 professional events and set 3 course records.

Fitzgerald lives in Kensington, Maryland, with his wife, Jane, and his children. His favorite activities apart from golf include playing with his children, traveling, skiing, fishing, and running.

Dave Gould is a golf writer and editor with more than 14 years of experience covering the sport. He is a contributing editor for Inside Golf and a former executive editor of Golf Illustrated. Gould wrote his first book in 1993, and he has assisted well-known instructors such as Jim McLean and Craig Farnsworth with their books. He is an award-winning member of the Golf Writers Association of America.

Gould lives in Sandy Hook, Connecticut, with his wife, Rachel Basch. Along with golf, his favorite leisure activities are volleyball and snow skiing.
