About the Author

Fernando Savater, profesor de Filosof�a durante m�s de treinta a�os, ha escrito m�s de cincuenta obras, entre ensayos filos�ficos, pol�ticos y literarios, narraciones y teatro. Ha sido investido con varios doctorados honoris causa otorgados por universidades de Espa�a, Europa y Am�rica, y ha recibido diversas condecoraciones, como la Orden del M�rito Constitucional de Espa�a y la Orden Mexicana del �guila Azteca, entre otras. Distinguido como Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres por el Gobierno de Francia, ha formado parte de varios movimientos c�vicos de lucha contra la violencia terrorista en el Pa�s Vasco, entre ellos �Basta Ya!, que obtuvo el Premio S�jarov para la Libertad de Conciencia en el a�o 2000. Ha sido galardonado con el Premio per la Cultura Mediterranea en 2014, el Premio Internacional Eulalio Ferrer en 2015 y el Premio Taurino Ciudad de Sevilla en 2019. Sus libros han sido traducidos a m�s de veinte idiomas.
