These properties make them very attractive for developing nano electronics, optoelectronic and optical devices. Modifications of these properties can be obtained on irradiation of the samples with swift heavy ion (SHI). Born in 1980,Dr.G Gope passed M.Sc in Electronics from Gauhati University, Assam,PhD from NIT Silchar,Assam, currently working in Central Instrumentation Lab,Assam University, Silchar, India.Dr.D Chakder is working as Assist. Prof. in SIEM, Siliguri, West Bengal, India, and Dr.S S Nath is working as Reader,Assam University, Silchar,India.
